The RMS handset HA222-GPS
is designed for RMS operation with standard handset, and includes for its
special satellite navigation function a receptacle with onboard computer and GPS
receiver.
To use the GPS system included in the handset receptacle, specific parameters shall be set in the handset, which enable the initiation of sequence telegram procedures for the communication with the wiring of receptacle . These settings enable the initiation of location messages (sequence telegram with GPS content), depending on following requirements:
initiation any time by pressing the (ORT) key on handset
automatic initiation after the release of specific, selectable status
omatic initiation after the reception of specific, selectable remote instructions
The adapter includes its own powerful processor and interacts via the serial interface (TTL) with the GPS receiver. The handset set incorporates a service interface for the input of settings and parameters, with which the adapter can be configured and the GPS receiver can be tested.
