detail description of installation instructions for RMS handset HA222-GPS (German)The HA222 GPS is an extended version of the HA222 COM. The HA222 GPS version is equipped with sequence telegram generator in accordance with the TR-BOS directives, which is controlled by a micro-controller and GPS receiver in the receptacle. GPS information is transmitted as RMS sequence telegram.
The HA222-GPS differs from the standard HA222-COM version. The HA222-GPS has an additional module in the handset receptacle for the locating function. Electrical connection is achieved by integrating this additional module in feeder line between the handset connection on radio equipment (U-79/U-jack) and handset connection. The radio installation supplies the entire RMS vehicle radio equipment, GPS receiver and active antenna with power.
The HA222-GPS handset is equipped with all connections to radio equipment (U-127/U) and to GPS antenna (SMB jack on GPS receiver)
The handset receptacle consists of the lower mounting frame that shall be mounted to suitable area in vehicle, and the upper part on which the handset is placed.
Both parts are held together with four crosshead screws.
The antenna can be mounted in roof, regardless of the handset mounting.
