Integrated RMS equipment variations for use in vehicles are defined in the BOS Technical Directive. RADIODATA has developed a multitude of solutions for this type of equipment and has adapted them to the special requirements.
The variations enable the control of one or two radio installations. RMS is available in radio equipment with double control. Double control equipment provides interesting functions: the operation as voice call and carrier controlled small radio relay station (RS1) and voice call controlled large radio relay station (RS2).
The control of the logic data and the signal path for additional equipment (speech encryption and vehicle location add-ons) are also integrated.
Serial interfaces (RS 232) can be used for the exchanging of data with external data equipment (terminals, PC and GPS receiver and navigation equipment).
The control equipment has been adapted for special missions, crime police and security forces in special task units (SEK and MEK) for concealed installation and concealed operation.
At present, hands-free equipment with concealed control is being developed.
